New CIO David Ball and his role

Ball will join Envest on March 20 as part of the management team restructure. Before joining Envest, he spent over 13 years at Macquarie Group, where he started as a credit analyst to becoming the national head of insurance.

Commenting on his appointment, Ball said: “Envest has established a point of difference in a competitive market and has a proven track record of attracting quality acquisitions and teams. I look forward to contributing to the business’s exciting growth agenda.”

Ball will work closely with Heilig and Robson, who will continue leading the agency and broking businesses, respectively.

Mullins commented: “We have a fantastic team of very experienced insurance professionals, and the addition of David to that team is a huge coup for us.

“Throughout his career, David has supported the growth ambitions of brokers and agencies across our industry. He is young [and] ambitious, [and he] knows our group and the broader market incredibly well. We look forward to leveraging his insights and experience to continue our M&A activity.”
