DUAL North America names key appointments

Company stalwart promoted, two insurance veterans hired

DUAL North America has announced three key appointments to leadership and underwriting roles.

The company has promoted Jim Jinhong to head of capacity and product development. D.J. Postles has joined the company as executive vice president of underwriting for NationBuilders Insurance Services (NBIS), and John Kopach has been appointed executive vice president of liability.

Prior to his promotion, Jinhong served as executive vice president of underwriting and development of NBIS, a DUAL North America company. In his new role, Jinhong’s responsibilities include leading a strategic deployment of partner capacity across the enterprise and developing new products.

“Jim has led NBIS through an impressive period of growth and diversity, building creative coverage lines and driving underwriting profit for our market partners,” said Bill Tepe, president of NBIS.

Postles has 22 years of industry experience. Before joining DUAL, he held positions at Chubb, Swiss Re and Hiscox. In his new role, Postles will lead the underwriting team at NBIS. he will be based in Atlanta and reports to Tepe.

“D.J. has a dynamic background of insurance leadership roles,” Tepe said. “He will have the opportunity to lead a diverse team of underwriters and drive best-in-class customer service to our clients.”

Kopach has more than 20 years of industry experience. He joins DUAL from AXA XL, where he served as senior vice president of excess casualty. He has also held roles at Swiss Re Financial Corporate Solutions and Everest National Insurance Company.

Kopach is based in Atlanta and will work directly with Mike Towell, president of excess liability. In his new role, Kopach will help drive the expansion of the company’s excess liability product in the east and southeast.

Last month, DUAL North America appointed Michelle Roccoforte as chief of staff. In February, the company appointed Ranjit Jaswal as chief risk officer and Luke Wolmer as senior vice president of actuarial and data analytics.
