The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has launched new features on My Proof of Insurance (MPOI), its digital document delivery platform.

The new features include the ability for users to utilize Google Wallet to store their eSlips sent through MPOI without the need to download a third-party app. This feature is only available to devices equipped with Android9 or higher.

Another new update is the inclusion of Garage Automobile eSlips, separate PDFs for each vehicle on a policy, and the removal of the requirement of Fleet Managers to include a VIN on their Fleet eSlips. These new features are supported by bank-grade security in response to the demands of both the industry and customers.

CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola said features aimed to improve customers’ experiences.

“We’re dedicated to helping our members leverage technology to improve their operations and make it easier to do business with Canadians,” said Smola.

“With our recent enhancements and easy access to Google Wallet, our MPOI platform is even more valuable for streamlining operations for insurers and brokers and enhancing customer service.”

Launched in 2018, MPOI allows insurance providers and brokers to send related policy documents for home, auto, and business insurance through email. Customers can then save their policies on their computers and mobile devices. MPOI has helped CSIO members send over 3 million digital documents to their customers.
