North American wholesale specialty insurance distributor CRC Group has announced the addition of three new professionals to its team as part of a strategic expansion effort to enhance its services to retail agency clients across the country.

Rudie Heling (pictured above left) has joined CRC Group’s Carmel, Ind., office as an underwriting team leader. Heling brings nearly a decade of experience as a property and casualty underwriter with a managing general agency to his new role.

Sam Rector (pictured above, middle) has been appointed as a broker in CRC’s Nashville, Tenn., office. Rector, who has almost 10 years of industry experience, previously worked as an associate director with a British-American multinational insurance services company.

Chris Young has taken on the role of personal lines underwriting team leader in CRC Group’s Alpharetta, Ga., office. Young’s career in the insurance industry spans over 26 years, including his most recent position as a senior personal lines underwriter with an independent wholesale insurance broker and underwriting manager.

The insurer noted that these appointments are part of CRC Group’s broader strategy to strengthen its capacity to support retail agency clients nationwide.

CRC Insurance Services operates with a team of 5,100 professionals across offices in the United States and Canada. The company places more than $40 billion in annual premiums across property and casualty, employee benefits, life, annuities, and long-term care sectors.

Earlier this month, the wholesale specialty insurance distributor also announced dual appointments, with Sean Kenny joining the company in Houston, Texas, and taking on the role of senior vice president and broker.

Travis McCleary, meanwhile, was appointed as an underwriting team leader in the Seattle, Wash., office.

In July, CRC Group also made executive leadership appointments within its commercial solutions operations. Brent Tredway was named the sole president of the brokerage division.

Brennan Paris, previously chief operating officer of CRC’s binding division, assumed the role of binding division president.
