Cover-More partners with global LGBTQIA+ event WorldPride

As part of the deal, Cover-More will join the 17-day event and:

Become part of the Sydney WorldPride 2023 Fair Day in Victoria Park and the Pride Villages near Oxford Street, Paddington, from February 24 to March 05, 2023;
Provide a scholarship program supporting 100 scholars travelling to the Sydney WorldPride Human Rights Conference; and
Offer exclusive travel insurance and safe travel education for Sydney WorldPride visitors.

“We’re very proud and excited to support this incredible event on the LGBTQIA+ calendar, especially since Sydney WorldPride 2023 will be the first WorldPride held in the southern hemisphere, and 2023 will also mark 45 years of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras,” said Cover-More Group CEO Cara Morton. “As a global travel insurance business, we understand there is nothing more exciting than packing a bag and touring the world; however, LGBTQIA+ travellers are often forced to deal with additional risks, depending on where they are travelling.”

Like its parent company Zurich Group, Cover-More maintains a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, disrespectful behaviour, bullying, and harassment.

“We are a company where empathy and respect, diversity, and inclusion are at our core. And we are a group of people prepared to speak up and who does not shy away from standing up for what is right,” Morton said.

Sydney WorldPride 2023 incorporates the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and will host up to 300 events for more than 500,000 people. The event will feature a headline performance by Kylie Minogue, live music, DJs and performances at The Domain, and the three-day Human Rights Conference.
