ClaimsPro has partnered with WINMAR (Canada) International on a training initiative aimed at adjuster development.

Nadine Dionne, ClaimsPro’s manager of adjuster training and development, and Jill McMaster from WINMAR Calgary, worked together to support ClaimsPro’s National Adjuster Development Program, focusing on IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) methodologies and restoration principles.

ClaimsPro’s program is tailored for early-career adjusters to build essential skills needed for handling claim files efficiently. It covers customer service, systems, processes, and industry best practices.

While ClaimsPro directly oversees the core training areas, WINMAR will provide hands-on, in-person education for junior and intermediate adjusters. The training will emphasize technology and artificial intelligence in restoration, including psychrometrics and drying science, with strategies to improve efficiency and reduce long-tailed claims.

The training partnership aims to bridge the gap between restoration experts and claims professionals, enhancing service levels for carriers and policyholders.

A beta test of the program in Western Canada – hosted by Toby Lawrence, Shawn Bezovie, and Gabrielle Lawrence of WINMAR Edmonton – was successful. Over the next eight months, the platform will be expanded nationwide, involving ClaimsPro adjusters and WINMAR offices across Canada.

“Training is important to continued growth in our industry, and this recent collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing the knowledge base of contractor abilities and challenges to develop stronger adjuster skill sets in the industry,” highlighted WINMAR president Glenn Woolfrey.

”ClaimsPro’s National Adjuster Development Program was designed to help guide, coach, and mentor new adjusters,” noted Dionne. “Our goal over time with this program is to advance and elevate the broader adjusting profession across Canada, and this partnership with WINMAR will certainly help us achieve that target.”
