Chedid Capital’s reinsurance broker network of investment group, Chedid Re Global Operations, has announced the appointment of Vincent Vandendael as independent non-executive director. The appointment reinforces Chedid Re’s commitment to bolster its global corporate governance framework as it pursues expansion across the world’s largest and most notable up-and-coming insurance, financial, and regulatory hubs.

Vandendael has over 30 years of experience in developed and emerging insurance markets. These include powerhouse cities and countries like New York, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and London. Vandendael focused on strategic geographic expansion and financial management. In addition, he has also served as a board member in leading international organizations and advises different managing general agents.

“I made many decisions in my career, but joining Chedid Re was a straightforward one,” Vandendael said. “Their talented teams, the values they live by, their unwavering integrity, and their corporate social responsibility are most compelling. I look forward to this exciting new chapter in my career, helping them realize their vision and expand their market-leading position in the Middle East and Africa.”

“Our commitment to corporate governance is a central pillar of our business ethos and growth strategy, where we have always strived to lead the industry by example,” Farid Chedid, Chairman and Group CEO of Chedid Capital. “It starts with the boardroom, permeates every aspect of our operations, and ensures our operational resilience and business continuity in the dynamic and volatile markets we serve.
