African reinsurance firm CGRE Group has announced the opening of its new office in the City of London.
The company said the move marks a major step in its goal to establish a presence in the international reinsurance market.
“Our team is very excited about this natural next step,” said Jean-Claude Lam Hung (pictured above), CEO of CG Re (Africa) Ltd. “From the outset of setting up the CGRE Group, we envisioned the opening of an office in the City of London as one key destination which would enhance our service capabilities. This is at the heart of our ‘We provide fit-for-purpose solutions to our clients’ culture and our ‘100 Steps’ strategy.
“London is one of the world’s top financial centers and is another key stepping stone in our expansion strategy to become an international and global reinsurance broker. Our London office shall play a most significant role in achieving this strategic objective of our group and shall give us the right edge to assert ourselves in the reinsurance broking industry,” Lam Hung said.
He also said that the new office will be key in enabling CGRE Group in better connecting their clients with reinsurers internationally, including the Lloyd’s syndicates market.
This announcement follows CGRE’s recent relocation to new office premises in Gaborone, Botswana.
Lam Hung said that CGRE was dedication to building strong partnerships within the industry.
“We are 100% committed to being the best in what a reinsurance broker can offer to its clients based on a win-win partnership framework. We believe that by working together and investing in our relationships with our partners, we can all achieve our potential in a world of infinite possibilities,” he said.
