Brown & Riding announces addition to national casualty practice

Fifteen-year industry veteran tapped for SVP role

Brown & Riding has announced the appointment of Adam Jacobus as senior vice president and casualty broker.

Jacobus is joining the firm’s national casualty practice to specialize in construction, energy and environmental risks. He has over 15 years of industry experience, including a background in devising customized insurance solutions to mitigate risks in sectors known for their dynamic and high-risk nature.

In previous roles, Jacobus has also formed relationships with carrier partners and retail agents, according to an emailed news release.

“We are excited to welcome Adam to Brown & Riding,” said president and CEO Jeff Rodriguez. “His extensive experience and proven track record make him a valuable asset to our team. We believe that Adam’s expertise and his commitment to client relationships are a perfect fit with our company’s values and goals.”

Jacobus also commented on his new role, expressing his pride in being able to “help my clients write and retain business.”

“Brown & Riding’s unwavering commitment to customer service aligns well with my client-centric approach,” he added. “I am excited about the opportunity to work alongside the talented team at Brown & Riding and look forward to contributing to our collective growth and success.”

Jacobus will be based in the Brown & Riding’s Dallas, Texas office, the firm said in its release.

Stratico has been with the firm since 2010, when he joined as a management and professional liability broker. He has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry.

In March, Brown & Riding was also listed among Insurance Business America’s 5-Star Wholesale Brokers and MGAs of 2024. It received the All-Star title, as well as Brokers’ Pick medals for management liability, environmental, and real estate.

In a statement posted on LinkedIn, the company said: “This recognition would not be possible without our retailers voting and our employees’ daily dedication to serving our clients.”
