Brit Ltd has announced the addition of three colleagues to its private clients team, further enhancing the insurer’s expertise in the high-net-worth market.

The new hires include Vijay Mithal, Billy Lynch, and Chris Lewis, who collectively bring extensive experience and strong broker relationships to the company.

Mithal and Lynch were both appointed as underwriters and will play a pivotal role in bolstering Brit’s capabilities within the private clients segment. Lewis came on board as business development manager with a focus on driving strategic growth efforts within the team.

Mithal previously worked at Groves John Westrup and held underwriting roles in the HNW sector at Chubb. Lynch made the switch from Covéa, where he similarly served as an HNW underwriter. Lewis, an AXA XL and Chubb alumnus with over 25 years of industry experience, joined from Aviva Private Clients.

“I am delighted to welcome Chris, Vijay, and Billy to the private clients team at Brit,” said private clients head Tara Parchment. “Their experience and expertise are valuable additions as we further grow our market share while continuing to deliver a best-in-class service for our brokers and their clients.”

Brit recently reported its interim financial results for the six months ended June 30, announcing an increase from last year’s $300 million in profit before tax from continuing operations to $362.4 million for the first half of 2024.
