Specialty broker BMS Group has announced the appointment of Andras Bohm as the head of its US capital advisory business and the CEO of BMS Capital Advisory, Inc (the firm’s U.S. broker-dealer), pending regulatory approvals.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Bohm recently served at Swiss Re Capital Markets, where he led the structuring activities team in the Americas. Over the last decade, Bohm has been instrumental in supporting clients in executing over 70 transactions with a combined value exceeding $15 billion. These transactions span advisory services, capital raising, and structuring insurance-linked securities, receiving multiple industry awards within the reinsurance sector.
In his new role, Bohm will spearhead the investment banking and legacy solutions team based in New York, collaborating with counterparts in the UK and Bermuda. He will report to BMS Re CEO Pete Chandler.
“Andras has an impressive track record which speaks for itself and brings a wealth of capital solution experience spanning across insurance, reinsurance and more. As the incoming CEO of BMS Capital Advisory Inc, he will play a crucial role in helping us to continue delivering industry-leading bespoke solutions for clients, and drive forward our expansion strategy,” Chandler said.
In other recent developments for the specialty broker, BMS Group has also named Emmanuel Clarke as its new chair.
