Insurtech BizCover has revealed that over 200,000 small businesses – or one in 10 small businesses – are insured through its online platform.

The latest milestone means BizCover helps 10% of Australia’s insured small businesses manage their risks and make insurance business easy.

The achievement was driven by 16.6% year-on-year growth, further boosted by its insurer partners, including QBE, AIG, Vero, Chubb, DUAL, Berkley, Hollard, and Point Insurance, BizCover said.

“We are thrilled that more than 200,000 SMEs are insured through our platform, and it is an incredible achievement that highlights our dedication to supporting small businesses across Australia,” said BizCover CEO and co-founder Michael Gottlieb. “Since our inception 15 years ago, we have been unwavering in our mission to make insurance easy and affordable for small businesses.

“This milestone exemplifies our commitment to harnessing the latest technologies to ensure that Australian small businesses enjoy a hassle-free experience when purchasing their insurance.”

Client reviews

According to BizCover, over 17,000 customers shared positive reviews, enabling the insurtech to secure a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 72+ in 2022.

NPS measures the loyalty of a company’s customers. The market research metric is based on a single survey question asking the company’s customers to rate the likelihood that they would recommend the company and their products or services to a friend or colleague.

“Even as we celebrate the extraordinary achievement of 200,000 customers, BizCover has already set its sights on the next milestone: to protect a quarter of million Australian small business and beyond,” Gottlieb said.

“I am deeply grateful to our customers for entrusting us with their insurance needs. Together with our incredibly talented team and partners, we are excited for the next phase of growth as we continue to disrupt and lead how SMEs manage their business insurance.”
