Now I don’t know about you guys and girls, but I first began to spend a lot of time on Youtube during the lockdowns of 2020. In fact, it was then I decided I wanted to get serious about uploading to YouTube myself and trying to produce content that I wanted to see.
At this point, YouTube had replaced ‘normal’ television for me and I loved tuning in and watching ANYTHING motorcycle related.
So, if you’re struggling with inspiration and wondering who to search to get your automotive fix, let me help you – with my personal list of top 10 motorcycle-related YouTubers!
1. TeapotOne
I’ll be super surprised if you haven’t heard of Bruce Smart AKA TeapotOne, but if you haven’t, let me tell you: you’re in for a treat.
Bruce’s YouTube channel exploded onto the scene after riding a Suzuki GSXR1000 sport bike… a staggering 74,000 miles on a solo adventure around the world (yes, you read that correctly). Bruce tackled 54 countries in an impressive 442 days.
Bruce’s most recent content consists of the things he enjoys: adventures, challenges, meeting new and interesting ‘folk’ (as he would say in his wonderful Scottish accent), reviewing gadgets and gizmos, and riding motorcycles and relaying his thoughts to us.
If you take away only one thing from Bruce’s videos, it would be:
“LIVE YOUR LIFE”
2. 44Teeth
44Teeth is brought to you by Chris Eades (AKA BaronVonGrumble), Alastair Fagan and their newest addition to the team, Mike Booth. The dynamic trio brings spice and speed to motor journalism.
This motorcycle-related YouTube channel is akin to sitting in the pub with your mates enjoying unfiltered and unregulated biker banter.
Some of my favourite series from this channel are their Budget Bike Battles which are absolutely hilarious (unless you’re Chris and pick up a staggering speeding fine in Switzerland) and their News show, which I guarantee will have you in hysterics!
The channel is absolutely not PG and I’m sure it could be argued that it’s part of their charm.
3. Itchy Boots
Noraly, who goes by the name Itchy Boots, started her channel in November 2018 and has since amassed over 1 million subscribers.
She took the extremely brave decision to sell everything she owned, buy a motorcycle, travel around the world and document it in a series on her YouTube channel.
I know the effort that goes into being a ‘motovlogger’ and I am honestly in awe of this incredible woman, who edits on the move and pumps out a whopping three vlogs per week! I just about manage to get two out per week from my home office, never mind on the move and struggling for internet access.
Not only is she an incredibly brave woman to tackle her adventures around the world alone, but she’s also an incredible businesswoman who offers a course for those wanting to become a ‘motovlogger’.
Itchy Boots makes for amazing viewing when I sit down in the evening and eat my tea… I love keeping up with her trials and tribulations and I’m sure you will too.
4. Lamb Chop Rides
Now I have to admit, ‘Chopsy’ is one of my all-time favourite motorcycle YouTubers. He’s a man teetering on the edge of obtaining his silver play button for hitting 100,000 subscribers and his following could not be more deserved.
A wonderful ‘tell it how it is’ YouTuber with an impressive stable, he currently owns a Kawasaki H2, a Ducati Hypermotard 1100 and his most recent addition, an extremely clean GSXR1000.
In Chopsy’s vlogs, you’ll find bike reviews, gear reviews, adventures, experiences, and of course bike builds and modifications. He really can do it all!
5. Alberto Naska
Alberto Naska has to be one of my all-time favourite YouTubers. Naska shares racing insights that not many people get to experience. The man is fast and not only does he race motorcycles, but he also explains beautifully how to improve your track riding.
He is Spanish but has a dedicated English-speaking channel called Alberto Naska EN, and the effort he puts into this channel is just charming.
Informative and entertaining, he is an extremely charismatic Spaniard and keeps my eyes glued to the screen.
His vlogs make for an awesome watch and I recommend you check him out!
6. Schaaf
I have been following this Austrian since I can remember. I fell in love with Schaaf’s whole vibe. The colour grading on his videos, the impeccable audio solutions he uses to pick up the sexiest of exhaust notes, the wonderful roads and alpine passes he gets to ride and, of course, his spirited and exciting riding style.
He’s not just known for his epic vlogs, but also his photography – his Instagram is packed with the most professional selfie stick shots you could imagine.
7. R1Liz
R1liz is probably better known for her Instagram and iconic cartoons than her YouTube channel, but since she’s branched out onto the platform she’s already hit 1,000 subscribers… We love to support an underdog.
If you like to watch adventures and trips on inappropriate sports bikes, R1Liz is sure to keep you entertained.
Liz documents her adventures in a charming and candid way, and is not scared to show her highs and lows. Her personal vlogging style is also very refreshing.
I can’t wait to see her channel flourish!
8. RichyVida
RichyVida is one of the most down-to-earth people with a massive community of supporters. I would say he has one of the largest and most dedicated fan bases out of all the ‘motovloggers’.
How? Richy loves to tour on his Africa Twin and often goes on tour with his subscribers. He gets them involved and documents it for all to see.
He makes for laid-back viewing, and the fact he has a wonderful voice also helps. I watched a lot of adventure bike rider festival vlogs on YouTube and I have to say Richy’s documentation of the weekend was hands down the best vlog I have watched on the event.
9. TheMissendenFlyer
Whenever you see the letters TMF, people are referring to The Missenden Flyer.
Andy (TMF) is fast on his way to hitting a quarter of a million subscribers. This is some achievement and I would argue he is one of the most popular ‘motovloggers’ on the biking scene.
Despite his insane subscriber count and his wonderfully chirpy vlogs, he’s also a lovely person who hasn’t let internet fame get to him. At motorcycle shows, he chats to everyone he can and is extremely level-headed.
On his YouTube channel, you can find top tips, tours, bike reviews, short and long-term impressions, vlogs on his own personal fleet (which is rather sizable), and monthly bike news.
10. MOTOBOB
Some of the most recognised voices in the UK:
Sir David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Trevor McDonald, and then finally, there’s our MOTOBOB.
The second I hear that silky smooth voice… I know I’m about to learn something.
In my opinion, MOTOBOB has one of the most impressive channels, and his news style content is unchallenged. If I want to find something out about a motorcycle, I will search Motobob’s YouTube playlists before hitting Google.
Pairing professional footage with the ability to retain my attention through thoughtful editing and videography, there is a reason this man is on the road to hitting 250,000 subscribers.
