AXA Claims Technical Services Director appointed to board of Insurance Fraud Bureau

Karl Parr named Non-Executive Director of the Insurance Fraud BureauAppointment underpinned by AXA’s commitment to fighting fraudulent insurance activity

AXA UK & Ireland and the Insurance Fraud Bureau today announce Karl Parr’s appointment as Non-Executive Director of the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB). As AXA’s Claims Technical Services Director and with vast experience in the claims and fraud space, Karl is well placed to advise and support the operations of the IFB.

The IFB aims to lead the insurance industry’s collective fight against organised fraud by sharing data and intelligence as well as promoting cross-industry collaboration to detect and disrupt organised fraud networks.

As part of the board, Karl will be involved in strategy direction and delivery as well as working with the Government on a fraud charter, which integrates insurance fraud into the larger economic crime plan.

Karl’s appointment is testament to AXA UK’s commitment to fighting fraudulent activity, investigating suspicious claims, and taking fraudulent claimants to court when necessary. This is essential to stopping these types of harmful practices and protecting honest customers from the consequences of unlawful activity.
