Ausure has announced the appointment of Amanda Theodosiou as learning and development manager at Ausure, effective from July 1.

Theodosiou (pictured), who has significant experience within the insurance industry, previously held business development roles with several leading Australian insurers.

Commenting on the appointment, Ausure CEO Scott McCarthy highlighted the firm’s long-standing relationship with Theodosiou.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Amanda join the Ausure team. Ausure have worked with Amanda closely over many years in her previous roles, and she has always been highly regarded by our staff and ARs (authorised representatives),” he said.

In her new position, Theodosiou will be responsible for supporting, training, and mentoring AR broking staff. Her main duties include training new personnel at AR brokerages and the head office on Ausure’s systems and the Insight broking platform.

McCarthy said he expects Theodosiou’s comprehensive industry knowledge to allow the role to expand, benefiting the broader Ausure group.

“This is a huge addition for Ausure. Most of our brokers will know Amanda and have worked with her in some capacity from her previous roles. Having Amanda’s expertise at Ausure will provide a huge benefit to the group, particularly when it comes to learning from her decades of experience working with leading insurers and being able to share ways to achieve better outcomes for clients when liaising with insurers,” he said.

Theodosiou began her tenure at Ausure’s Brisbane head office, initially concentrating on training and immersing herself in the company’s values, which include family principles, excellent service, and continuous support.

“‘At Ausure …. We Care.’ Ausure prides themselves on their highly professional service to their clients by ensuring every adviser is highly skilled and provides good old fashioned personalised ‘service.’ This resonated with me which is where I saw that I could add value to the national Learning and development manager role. My insurance career has afforded me with a varied skill set that I can now give back to Ausure in providing support and structure to ensure that we excel with service, expertise and personal professional goals, today, and into the future,” Theodosiou said. “As mentioned by Scott McCarthy, in previous roles in the insurance industry, I have worked closely with Ausure head office, various staff and ARs, and I am very much looking forward to reconnecting and working closely with everyone.”
