Sedgwick offered its well-established managed care solutions independent of claims administration. These solutions provide the insurance industry and employers with additional choices for administering care for their employees and policyholders.

Coalition partnered with Ascot Group to back Coalition’s U.S. primary surplus lines cyber program through Ascot Specialty Insurance Company. This multi-year partnership provides Coalition with long-term capacity for its cyber programs.

NFP acquired certain assets of Dignum & Bame Insurance Agency, Inc. The transaction closed on December 31, 2021. D&B is a third-generation P&C insurance broker based in East Greenbush that specializes in serving school districts and municipalities. This acquisition brings an additional well-established producer to NFP’s New York operations and provides opportunities to introduce additional solutions to D&B’s client base.

NFP acquired Irish-owned ReSure Corporate Brokers, a specialist commercial insurance broker. This latest announcement marks NFP’s third acquisition in Ireland within the past two years, having acquired local brokers HMP Insurance and Pension Advisors and Aiken Insurance Limited.

Shift Technology and Legentic, a provider of real-time and historic data used for fraud detection, announced the two companies have entered a technology partnership. Through seamless integration between the two companies’ solutions insurers who are using Shift Claims Fraud Detection to mitigate the risk of fraud will have access to specialized data from Mohawk to fuel their models.

Betterview partnered with Canopy Weather, a provider of weather and hazard datasets. Under the terms of the new partnership, Betterview will house several data products from Canopy within PartnerHub, Betterview’s third-party data marketplace which was added to the Betterview Property Intelligence & Risk Management Platform in 2021.

First Person Advisors announced Megan Nail, senior vice president, Consulting and Total Rewards, has been named to the 2022 Membership Advisory Council of the Society of Human Resources Management. Verisk announced that medical (re)insurance provider AXA Life & Health Reinsurance Solutions is using Verisk’s Health Risk Rating Tool to provide its insurance partners in China the ability to offer automated health insurance underwriting decisions that are more inclusive of pre-existing medical conditions.

The Hartford announced a goal to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions for its full range of businesses and operations by 2050, in alignment with the Paris Climate Accord. This goal is in addition to the company’s existing targets to operate with 100% renewable-energy-source consumption for its facilities by 2030 and to reduce select GHGe by at least 2.1% each year starting in 2015 for a total reduction of 46.2% by 2037.

Everest Insurance launched Middle Market Property, a new commercial property insurance product designed to serve the unique and unmet needs of middle market customers. This launch will position Everest to meet the growing middle market demand for tailored risk management programs that match the size and scale of their operations. It is the latest in a series of strategic steps that deepen Everest’s segment expertise with distinct, specialized products and services.

RIMS announced Courtney Davis Curtis, assistant vice president, risk management and resilience planning for University of Chicago, as the 2022 Risk Manager of the Year. The 2022 Risk Management Honor Roll inducted Jana Utter, vice president enterprise risk management for Centene Corporation.

Fidelis Insurance promoted Mark Herget to the position of deputy group head of direct & facultative property. Herget joined Fidelis in April 2020 as an underwriter in its London office, transferring to Bermuda in November 2020. In his new role as deputy group head of D&F property, Herget will continue to work alongside Co-Deputy FUL CUO and Group Head of D&F Property Michael Davern, and will be responsible for leading the growth of Fidelis’ D&F writing in Bermuda.
