Ariel Re has announced significant internal advancements as it promotes 13 of its staff across its Bermuda and London locations.
The promotions span a diverse range of functions within the company, including software development, underwriting, accounting, portfolio management, analytics, and actuarial roles. The company stated that it shows a commitment to talent development and its strategic focus on becoming a nurturing ground for professionals in the industry.
The move also comes on the heels of Ariel Re’s statement last year of its ambition to establish itself as an “academy firm” within the reinsurance sector, aimed at fostering and nurturing talent. The individuals recognized through these promotions include:
Brian Darling, who has been named AVP of portfolio management
Cameron Cooper, now VP, actuary
Catarina Correia, elevated to the position of reinsurance analyst
Connor Lockett, promoted to software developer
Emily Leitch, who takes on the role of SVP, head of marine and specialty lines
JayLynn Hines, now an underwriter specializing in cyber
Katie Dilke, appointed VP, head of non-cat analytics and actuarial pricing
Meghan Sherwin, promoted to reinsurance analyst
Morgan Siese, now a human resources generalist
Neil Pohlman, Brian Darling, and Roman Sklyar, all advancing to AVP of portfolio management
Ruhal Miah, stepping up to senior analyst, portfolio management
Sophia Marshall, named assistant manager, operations
Lindsay Hyland, head of human resources at Ariel Re, expressed enthusiasm about the promotions and what they mean for the company.
“It is great to celebrate our deep talent pool at Ariel Re by promoting these excellent individuals,” Hyland said.
Hyland also emphasized the company’s objective to bolster its status as an ‘academy firm’ and to acknowledge and support the wealth of talent within its ranks.
“I look forward to helping these talented individuals as they continue to develop in our London and Bermuda offices,” she said.
