Argenta Syndicate Management Limited (ASML), a subsidiary of Argenta Holdings and Hannover Re, has announced the appointment of Miriam Goddard to its board as a non-executive director, effective immediately.

Goddard is recognized as a seasoned leader within the global re/insurance sector. She brings a wealth of experience from various underwriting and leadership roles, most notably serving as the director of underwriting for specialty casualty and joint active underwriter at W/R/B Underwriting’s Syndicate 1967.

Goddard’s career and background includes her tenure as head of professions at Hiscox, along with underwriting positions at Jubilee Managing Agency and Brockbank Managing Agency. She commenced her underwriting career at AIG, focusing on US and international professional risks.

John Whiter, chair of the ASML board, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment and what Goddard could bring to the table.

“Together with the rest of the board, I am looking forward to working with Miriam. The skills and experience Miriam brings will further enhance our ability to support the company’s vision and business strategy,” Whiter said.

Nick Moore, chief executive officer of Argenta Holdings Limited and managing director of ASML, also welcomed Goddard to the board.

“We are delighted to have Miriam join our board as a non-executive director. Her extensive industry knowledge and expertise will be a major asset to the board. I look forward to working with her and believe Argenta will benefit greatly from the insights she will bring,” Moore said.
