Ardonagh Specialty has announced the appointment of Amy Goldenberg to the new role of global commercial director.

Goldenberg’s responsibilities will include driving business development, focusing on organic growth, cross-selling initiatives, and devising an international key account strategy aimed at acquiring new business and retaining major clients.

As per her LinkedIn, Goldenberg’s professional background includes a tenure at Gallagher Specialty, where she was instrumental in establishing a business development function. Her role there encompassed leading teams in bid, marketing, sales, and research, supporting key divisions such as aerospace, marine, construction, energy and renewables, financial risks, and property and casualty.

Prior to Gallagher, she spent a decade at JLT Specialty in various capacities, including as head of global mining and as a senior consultant in the credit, political and security risk division.

“I’m not someone who likes to sit back and accept the status quo, so I was attracted to the energy of Ardonagh Specialty – and its genuine passion to want to get things done and do things better really resonated with me,” Goldenberg said.

Operating from her base in London, Goldenberg will report to Nabila Leather, Ardonagh Specialty’s chief investment officer.

“At Ardonagh Specialty we have ambitious growth plans, and Amy will be a key player in helping us achieve them. She brings with her a wealth of experience not just in business development and strategy but in change management, people management and frontline trading – with technical knowledge across a real mix of London Market products,” Leather said.
