Independent managing general agent (MGA) APRIL Group has brought the operations of APRIL Canada and APRIL Marine Canada closer under the joint leadership of Marie-Eve Paquette, formerly general manager of April Marine Canada, and Florian Chabanette as deputy general manager.

The MGA said the move is a strategic bid to elevate its services and accelerate its transformation.

Paquette and Chabanette will spearhead efforts to enhance customer experience at APRIL Group across all touchpoints, from underwriting to management. They also aim to expand APRIL’s footprint in Canada by delivering high-value solutions and services.

During their transition phase, Paquette and Chabanette will collaborate closely with APRIL’s Canadian teams to realize these ambitions.

The two leaders bring a wealth of complementary expertise and extensive experience in insurance and business management, as well as a shared passion for customer service and efficiency, according to APRIL.

The company addressed the merger in a statement to broker partners: “Every day, you place your trust in us and share your expectations regarding offers and customer experience, and we are highly attentive to the bond that unites us.

“We look forward to working together to combine our expertise and responsiveness.”

Founded in 1988, APRIL is a global leader in innovative insurance solutions, committed to delivering exceptional experiences that blend human relationships with cutting-edge technology. APRIL Canada specializes in developing and offering diverse niche solutions in personal and commercial insurance nationwide.
