Applied Systems Canada Achieves CSIO’s eDocs Certification

(Toronto – August 26, 2024)  CSIO congratulates Applied Systems Canada (Applied) on achieving CSIO’s eDocs Certification. Applied has confirmed that all 40 updated eDocs codes and descriptions have been implemented in both their Broker Management System (BMS) platforms, Applied Epic and Applied TAM, for personal and commercial lines.

With this Certification, insurers working with Applied can be confident that their eDocs codes and descriptions will be clearly and consistently displayed when sending updated eDocs to brokers. Inconsistent and unclear eDocs labels can create extra administrative burdens for brokers, leading to inefficiencies and increased costs. eDocs offer a wide range of supported business transactions for both commercial and personal lines, making them a versatile solution that enhances broker workflows. The updated eDocs will be available to brokers in their BMS when released in production by their insurer partners.

“The industry is rapidly evolving, and brokers now expect seamless digital experiences to simplify their internal and customer facing workflows,” said Steve Whitelaw, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Applied Systems Canada. “Clearly labelled eDocs are critical for brokers to conduct business effectively. By achieving this eDocs Certification, Applied is helping brokers streamline operations by delivering consistently labelled and coded eDocs allowing for the automation of low value tasks.”

“Applied’s eDocs Certification has a significant impact on the P&C industry,” said Catherine Smola, President & CEO of CSIO. “We commend Applied for implementing the updated eDocs Standards to provide brokers with an enhanced experience.” In addition to Applied’s eDocs Certification, more CSIO members are actively pursuing their own Certification. Insurer and BMS vendor members can download the eDocs Business Requirements and Certification Document to apply for Certification.
