Aon has appointed Joe Peiser as chief executive of commercial risk solutions, succeeding Lambros Lambrou – who was named human capital CEO earlier this year – with immediate effect.
Reporting to risk capital chief Andy Marcell, Peiser will be in charge of driving the growth of Aon’s commercial risk solutions while collaborating with reinsurance leaders across the risk capital division. Prior to his promotion, Peiser was commercial risk head for North America.
Meanwhile Paul Shedden, who most recently served as head of global and UK analytics for Aon’s reinsurance solutions, has been installed as head of advanced risk analytics for risk capital.
Aon president Eric Andersen commented in a release: “[The] announcement represents further momentum of our Aon United strategy as we continue to align our risk capital and human capital capabilities and develop integrated solutions that respond to growing client need.
“Joe and Paul are experienced leaders who will help us unlock new value in our core business and accelerate innovation on behalf of our clients.”
Aon’s risk capital unit houses commercial risk and reinsurance, while human capital spans health, wealth, and talent solutions.
“At this pivotal moment where client need is evolving rapidly, our clients are looking for innovative tools and deep market knowledge to help clients assess, mitigate, and transfer risk,” Marcell said. “Joe’s more than 30 years in the industry and proven track record will help enhance how commercial risk works with reinsurance solutions across risk capital to enhance how we serve our clients.
“Paul is a trusted advisor at our firm and in the market and is uniquely positioned to help our clients across risk capital by accelerating the delivery of cutting-edge client solutions on a global scale.”
According to Aon, the internal hires will be working closely with chief operating officer Mindy Simon and Aon Business Services to accelerate the delivery of new client offerings.
