Specialty insurance products and services distributor Amwins has snapped up benefits general agency Kilpatrick Companies in Texas for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Houston, Kilpatrick specializes in employee and individual benefits. Under the deal, the business will become part of Amwins Connect, which distributes health and ancillary insurance solutions through brokers and consultants nationwide.

“Amwins Connect offers the size, scale, and proprietary products of a national general agency and will provide Texas brokers, carriers, and their partners access to new business-building tools,” declared Adam Mathis, president of Amwins Connect.

“Partnering with Kilpatrick enhances our diverse offering while building upon our value proposition of seamlessly connecting every point of the benefits journey for brokers, carriers, and their clients. Our mutual mission is clear: to be the firm brokers trust to deliver the best client experience and build the future of their businesses.”

Amwins Connect’s capabilities include quoting and proposals as well as onboarding and eligibility. It has a diverse portfolio of insurance offerings across multiple business lines, plus services developed specifically to support its broker partners.
