AMI has announced that its employees have clocked in more than 1,000 hours volunteering for Habitat of Humanity programs within their respective communities.
Since July 2022, the insurer’s people have worked together with the NGO to improve the living conditions of Kiwi whānau in housing need. The partnership between AMI and Habitat for Humanity New Zealand celebrates its second year in 2023, and the insurer points to it as an initiative to help make its customers’ world a safer place by helping communities become more resilient.
This volunteering brigade was just part of the firm’s annual snapshot, a yearly outline of AMI parent company IAG’s partnerships and other initiatives across Aotearoa.
“At IAG New Zealand our ambition is to protect the future of every Kiwi. We aim to do this though the products and services we provide, and through the meaningful contributions we make to the communities and environments in which we work,” IAG NZ CEO Amanda Whiting said in a news release.
“IAG FY23 included some significant and heartbreaking weather events – two of the largest on record – which saw us on the ground, working in the impacted communities with our customers and partners.”
