alzheimer's disease

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, making up about 50-60% of all cases.

It’s a disease that gets worse over time and happens because of a buildup of proteins in the brain, which we call plaques.

These plaques slowly damage and kill off brain cells, which makes it increasingly hard for someone to remember things, think clearly, understand stuff, and communicate.

Right now, we don’t know exactly what causes Alzheimer’s, and there isn’t a cure for it either.

Can Someone get Life Insurance if they have Alzheimer’s Disease?

I’m afraid it’s not possible to get life insurance or mortgage protection for someone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Can you get Mortgage Protection with a Family History of Alzheimer’s Disease?

Dealing with a family history of Alzheimer’s disease is heartbreaking.

It’s hard to even think about a parent going through those mental and emotional changes that Alzheimer’s brings.

It can feel pretty scary.

If Alzheimer’s runs in your family, you might think getting life insurance is going to be tricky.

If one of your parents had Alzheimer’s, you can still get life insurance, but you’ll need to pick your insurance company carefully.

Some companies might hike your rates by 50% just because Alzheimer’s is in your family.

However, it is possible to get the normal price.

What about Suffering Dementia after an Injury?

Recently, one of our clients had her premium increased because her mother had suffered dementia after a serious fall.
