Allianz Trade in Asia-Pacific has announced the appointment of Tricia Koh (pictured above) as the new commercial director for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea – collectively termed as the Hong Kong hub – effective from Nov. 1, 2023.
Based in Hong Kong, Koh assumes the role succeeding Hassan Omaish, who has transitioned to the position of global head of brokers and partnerships, stationed in Paris.
According to her LinkedIn, Koh initially joined the Allianz Group in 2007 through a graduate program. Her tenure within the group spans several significant roles. From 2009 to 2014, she contributed to market management at Allianz Commercial (formerly Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty). Subsequently, in 2017, she returned to the Allianz Group as the regional marketing director at Allianz Trade in Asia-Pacific. In this capacity, she spearheaded a regional team responsible for developing and executing an array of sales and marketing strategies across various distribution channels.
Koh holds a master’s degree in international taxation law and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Sydney. She furthered her education with a second master’s degree in insurance and risk management from Deakin University.
“Tricia’s international experience extends beyond business transactions. She possesses a deep understanding of the nuances of conducting business in different cultural contexts. Her ability to navigate through the complexities of varying markets positions her as a leader capable of forging strong partnerships and understanding the unique needs of our customers within Hong Kong Hub,” Allianz Trade HK hub general manager Edmond Lee said.
