Allianz Partners has been appointed by the Paris 2024 Organising Committee to provide medical assistance and repatriation services during the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The company explained that it will collaborate with the Paris 2024 organisers to support the events scheduled for the Games. It noted that its medical assistance teams will work closely with public services and the Organising Committee to ensure patient care during the event.

The scale of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games could lead to an increased number of patients, potentially challenging the French hospital system. As such, Allianz Partners said that its medical teams will initially support the medical unit in managing assistance requests.

After the initial assessment, Allianz Partners will take over patient support, including monitoring hospitalisation, covering medical expenses, and arranging transportation home or repatriation when necessary.

“Allianz Partners is proud to provide medical assistance and repatriation cover for the Olympic family, including athletes, officials, and volunteers,” Allianz Partners group chief medical officer Francois-Xavier Duchateau (pictured above) said.

“As a company committed to promoting sport and its values, we know the importance of providing the Olympic participants with medical cover to match their sporting ambitions, helping protect their health while providing peace of mind. Our entire team of assistance agents, nurses, and doctors are ready to deliver the best possible assistance to this exceptional group,” he said.

In other recent sports partnerships for the insurance group, Allianz, a long-standing partner of FC Bayern football club, also announced a new partnership with professional footballer Harry Kane, MBE.

As part of the partnership, Kane will serve as a global brand ambassador for Allianz over the coming years. The collaboration will focus on global marketing initiatives aimed at inspiring the next generation.
