Alliant Insurance Services has announced the addition of two senior vice presidents to its ranks, enhancing its leadership and service capabilities across different sectors and regions.

Lori Crandall has been appointed as senior vice president within Alliant’s Employee Benefits Group. She will be crucial in supporting clients across the Southwest and Western regions, with a focus on delivering top-tier service and expertise.

Prior to joining Alliant, Crandall served as a senior vice president at a large national brokerage for 21 years. She has also been actively involved with the National Association of Insurance & Benefits Professionals (NABIP), serving on the National Legislative Council and as the PAC chair for NABIP’s Arizona chapter.

Crandall holds a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and exercise physiology from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently the vice president of the PAC for NABIP and head of the governance committee for Feeding Matters, a non-profit focused on pediatric feeding disorders.

Crandall’s background includes extensive work with mid-market clients and expertise in areas such as alternative funding, strategic planning, clinical/population health management, contract analysis, communication, and compliance.

Kevin Overbey, president of Alliant Employee Benefits, welcomed Crandall’s appointment as a notable addition to the firm.

“Lori consistently turns formidable challenges into her most notable achievements. Whether it involves enhancing employee comprehension of their benefits or collaborating with CFOs on fiscal strategies, compliance, or experiential matters, she devises effective solutions that not only achieve corporate financial objectives but also prioritize employee welfare,” Overbey said.

New SVP for Alliant Private Client

Additionally, Julie Rison (pictured above, right) has joined Alliant as senior vice president for Alliant Private Client.

Based in Virginia, Rison’s role will be pivotal in advancing the division’s strategic growth and its expansion across key markets nationwide. Alliant Private Client specializes in risk management services for the high-net-worth sector, and Rison’s in-depth knowledge of this area is expected to significantly enhance the division’s outreach and effectiveness.

Rison’s prior roles include senior vice president of the private client division at another professional services firm. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Northern Iowa.

Rison will collaborate closely with Cindy Zobian, managing director, and other executives within the Private Client team to capitalize on opportunities within the Mid-Atlantic region. With over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, Rison brings deep expertise concerning carrier operations and the unique requirements of family enterprises.

She has participated on several national agency councils and is actively involved with the non-profit organization Richmond City Gives.

“We are thrilled to have Julie join our leadership team as we further our positioning in an area that has seen tremendous growth in high-net-worth households, as well as increased risks from natural disasters and other emerging exposures,” Zobian said.
