Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of Carrie Hansen as a vice president within its employee benefits group. Based in Minneapolis, Hansen will serve clients in the Midwest region.

“Carrie understands the myriad of factors that influence today’s employers and executes proven strategies that help leadership make sound, long-term business decisions,” said Kevin Overbey, president of Alliant Employee Benefits. “As a longtime benefits consultant and strategic advisor, she will help our clients boost productivity and drive down healthcare costs in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”

Hansen has more than 15 years of employee benefits experience, she specializes in executive consultation that drives workforce performance and process improvement, Alliant said in a news release. Prior to joining Alliant, Hansen served as an associate at an executive search firm. Prior to that, she had extensive experience as a senior employee benefits consultant. Hansen holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and leadership from the University of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business. She is licensed in Life, Accident, and Health Basics.

“Carrie is highly attuned to the Minnesota market and understands the unique dynamics affecting the regional business landscape,” said Greg Martens, executive vice president at Alliant Employee Benefits. “Her combination of regional expertise, high-level strategy, and deep relationships will serve as a tremendous resource to our ongoing expansion in Minneapolis and throughout the greater Midwest.”
