AIA NZ has bolstered the leadership team of its customer division with two promotions; Maddie Sherlock has been appointed head of customer operations, while Andrew Anisi has been named senior manager contact centre and business solutions. Both will report to chief customer officer Angela Busby.

Sherlock joined AIA in 2015 and has since held several leadership roles across operations teams. Most recently, she served as the insurer’s head of new business. In the newly created role of head of customer operations, Sherlock will lead AIA NZ’s operational service and relationship teams across new and existing business, partner relationships, and underwriting.

Anisi joined the insurer in 2016, and was previously the manager of partner relationships. In his new role, Anisi will lead the customer and adviser relationship teams to ensure standards and efficiency in communications with both customers and partners.

Busby said in a news release that these critical roles need to have high-calibre talent behind them, and this is where Sherlock and Anisi come in.

“Maddie is passionate about supporting people to achieve peak performance and finding new ways of working to deliver an exemplary customer experience, so I’m confident she’ll be a great success in this new position,” Busby said. “Andrew has developed some great knowledge and experience, and I know his demonstrated passion for our business and for improving service delivery to our customers and partners will serve him well.”
