Managing general agency (MGA) Adroit General Agency has partnered with Nationwide for a workers’ comp program aimed at mid-sized employers.

This partnership positions Adroit as the program manager for Nationwide, extending its reach to offer compensation insurance to a broader spectrum of clients, particularly those in high-risk sectors such as construction, energy, recycling, alternative energy, agriculture, and transportation.

Established in 2021, Adroit focuses on workers’ compensation for mid-market employers with significant exposure to high-risk environments. Its service offerings are launched through a partnership with Origami Risk.

Features such as client and broker portals offer access to claim and incident reporting tools, status updates, and a suite of Environmental Health and Safety solutions via mobile phone, laptop, or tablet. These tools are designed to foster improvements in safety performance throughout client organizations.

Marguerite Dixen, the founder and CEO of Adroit General Agency, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration.

“We’re excited about teaming with Nationwide to bring high-quality workers’ compensation insurance from an industry leader to our growing clientele across the US,” Adroit said. “This partnership represents a triple win for our firms and for businesses grappling with high-severity exposures.”

Echoing this sentiment, Dale Hoppe, vice president of workers’ compensation programs at Nationwide, highlighted the alignment between Nationwide’s strategic goals and Adroit’s capabilities.

“As Nationwide continues to look for new opportunities to grow in workers comp programs, Adroit’s proven ability to transform the risk profiles of these insureds is a great fit for us. We look forward to working with Marguerite and her team to bring a unique and comprehensive workers’ compensation solution to middle market clients faced with complex exposures,” Hoppe said.
