Acera Insurance Services has welcomed Surrey-based Janzen Insurance Brokers as its newest partner.

The partnership with Janzen Insurance was finalized on June 1, and the firm will transition to Acera Insurance over the coming months. This collaboration expands Acera Insurance’s footprint in the Greater Vancouver area, adding to its existing office in Burnaby.

Founded by three-decade industry veterans Andrew and Charlene Janzen (both pictured above), Janzen Insurance has offered commercial, personal, and auto insurance services since 2017.

Andrew Janzen holds a notable reputation in the insurance sector, especially in British Columbia. He currently chairs the Insurance Brokers Association of BC board of directors and was honoured as the 2023 Insurance Person of the Year.

Janzen is also a board member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada and has served as a past president of the Insurance Institute of BC and a former director of the Insurance Institute of Canada.

“Andrew’s dedication to the insurance industry and his clients is remarkable,” declared Andrew Kemp, president and chairman of Acera Insurance. “We are extremely pleased to partner with Andrew, Charlene, and the entire Janzen Insurance team as we grow Acera Insurance’s presence in the Greater Vancouver market.”

The increasing mergers and acquisitions activity driven by foreign investors and insurance company-backed aggregators highlights Acera Insurance’s distinct advantage as a 100% Canadian-owned and independent entity, a factor that resonated with Janzen.

“Just like Acera Insurance, standing apart is important to me,” Janzen remarked. “This partnership will empower us to continue offering our clients and community impartial, expert advice and true choice when it comes to their insurance needs.”
