Direct Commercial launches new Broker Portal for Commercial Motor Market

Direct Commercial Limited (DCL) has unveiled its brand-new Broker Portal, providing brokers with more functionality and accessibility to its services.

The Broker Portal caters to the needs of brokers and ultimately improves doing business with Direct Commercial by developing our flexibility and policy servicing.

The Broker Portal offers brokers quicker and easier access to claims information and claims listings. Brokers are able to keep track of a claim’s progress with a market-leading claims progress tracker and apply appropriate filters to derive specific updates and insights about their policyholder’s claims, for example by driver or claims type.

Future phases of development

Committed to developing our service to suit broker and policyholder needs, we will be developing the portal in future phases to enable brokers to comprehensively manage their clients’ policies. This includes the potential for features such as the ability to administer vehicle adjustments and access to a document repository.

While the Broker Portal enhances broker service, the key facets of interaction with brokers on claims will remain, not least with our quarterly claims review. At these meetings, members of the DCL claims team, the broker, and our policyholder discuss how claims are being handled and what can be done to mitigate costs. DCL are able to share insights and educate policyholders on, for example, the importance of prompt roadside reporting of incidents.

DCL Head of Agency & Business Development, Adam Marsh, said:

“Integrating our new portal is the latest step in our continued response to enhance services for brokers with digital solutions; having launched a new policy earlier in the year, Connect, which supports policyholders already invested in CCTV.

Listening to brokers’ needs is central to this initiative. The portal’s phased development is aligned with their feedback, with the portal designed to offer comprehensive accessibility, enabling efficient administration and quick access to data insights.”
