Sigma7, a global risk information and services company, has announced the appointment of Owen Belman as CEO.

Belman, who boasts extensive experience in the international banking sector, joins Sigma7 after leading the operations of global professional services firm Aon in Asia for 12 years. His appointment comes as Sigma7 prepares for its next phase of growth and expansion. Belman’s most recent role was as the CEO for Asia at Aon, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence in the rapidly evolving insurance markets across Asia.

“Owen Belman is exactly the right chief executive at the right time to scale and execute our founding vision of creating a new generation of risk services platform that helps businesses transform their risk program,” said Charles Bralver, chairman and co-founder of Sigma7. “Owen has an exceptional track record of growing revenue and margin in the international risk industry and I look forward to his leadership as we continue to grow our risk services platform both organically and through acquisitions.”

Belman’s hiring is part of a wider talent acquisition effort by Sigma7 as the company positions itself for rapid growth. Other additions to the leadership team in the past year include Andrew Tait, an alum of Marsh and JLT, as integrated risk leader; Bob Mozeika, former Munich Re executive, as COO; Colin Brown, formerly with Garda World, as resilience and security leader; and Deborah Rimmler, previously with Denton’s, as general counsel.

“I am excited to join an organization that is determined to revolutionize the risk industry – and has the resources to do so,” Belman said. “I share Sigma7’s vision that today’s dynamic new geopolitical, economic, environmental, and technological threats require an urgent reimagining of risk management technologies and philosophies. I look forward to guiding Sigma7 toward its global ambitions.”
