Volante Global, a multi-class, multi-territory international MGA and Lloyd’s syndicate, has launched Volante Singapore, according to an announcement by Asta, the third-party managing agent at Lloyd’s.

“The launch of Volante Singapore is an early milestone in our own expansion into Asia,” said Simon Norton, chief underwriting officer of insurance services at Davies and Asta group director. “The region represents a key development area for Asta and Davies and is central to the continued global expansion of our combined insurance services business.”

The launch of Volante Singapore aligns with Asta’s plans to introduce a comprehensive range of offerings in the Asian market, including syndicates, syndicate-in-a-box (SIAB), MGAs, and captive management entities.

“This launch is further endorsement of our offering in the region, and we are looking forward to supporting Volante directly from Singapore for their operations on the Lloyd’s platform,” said Audrey Lee, CEO of Asta Solutions Asia.

With the Asian market holding immense potential, Asta had previously launched a service company in March to facilitate the establishment of Lloyd’s operations in Asia.

Volante Singapore, following the lead of Mosaic Insurance, which began underwriting operations through the Asta Singapore platform earlier this year, will offer (re)insurance solutions across various regions in Asia Pacific, Greater China, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Japan.

Their offerings will include property, engineering, motor, accident and casualty, marine, multiline bouquet, treaty, facultative, binder, and facility business.

Additionally, Volante Singapore will provide transaction liability solutions through Volante Transaction Services, encompassing warranty and indemnity and tax liability insurance.

Having obtained regulatory approval on Jan. 1, Volante Singapore is now actively trading, further expanding the reach of Volante Global’s A-rated Lloyd’s Syndicate 1699.
