Resilium Partners, a subsidiary of the Envest Group (Envest), has acquired CPS General (CPS) in Chatswood, Sydney.

CPS is a long-standing corporate authorised representative of Resilium. It has been providing general and business insurance advice and services led by founder James Norval for over 30 years. Moreover, it has a dedicated team of specialists to help clients in a wide range of personal and commercial insurance products.

As part of the deal, Chelsea Norval – who has been with CPS for over 12 years, most recently as general manager – will take over from James Norval and lead the CPS business.

“This new partnership with both Resilium Partners and Envest gives us additional resources to help the CPS business grow even more, with a particular focus on NSW,” Chelsea Norval said. “We’re looking forward to working with the Envest team while continuing to provide professional service and advice to our loyal customers.”

Envest and Resilium welcome CPS General to the group

Adrian Kitchin, non-executive director of Envest and a director of Resilium, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome CPS as an equity partner, and [I] look forward to working with Chelsea and her team on further accelerating the growth of CPS, both through acquisition and organically.”

“We are so pleased that a business of CPS’ calibre is joining us at Envest as an equity partner, adding to our already strong presence in NSW,” said Craig Robson, chief distribution manager and head of broking at Envest. “We’re really looking forward to working with Chelsea and the entire CPS team.”
