Why The Wall Street Journal and Money call us “The Best”

We don’t do it for the recognition.

At Haven Life, our goal is to make life insurance less hard. We do that through our simple, easy-to-understand online life insurance application. We do that through innovative underwriting that allows us to offer highly competitive rates. We do that through our best-in-class customer success team, which helps guide applicants and policyholders through their life insurance journeys, before and after they buy life insurance..

In other words, we do it for you.

But… the recognition is nice.

Which brings us to the two latest pieces of praise for Haven Life. They come from the hallowed corners of Money and the Wall Street Journal. Here’s what they had to say.

From the WSJ: “Best Coverage Without a Medical Exam”

Did you know you can get 100% no-medical-exam-required life insurance coverage from Haven Life, in the form of a simplified issue life insurance product we call Haven Simple? It’s true — applicants can get up to $1 million in coverage, without the hassle of a medical exam, so long as they’re truthful in their application. (Failing to be honest could result in the non-issuance of policy or non-payment of the death benefit.)

The Wall Street Journal was clearly aware, and their Buy Side site recognized it as “best coverage without a medical exam,” citing the available coverage amount, term lengths, level term premiums (that is, premiums that stay the same throughout the term of the policy), and the inclusion of an accelerated death benefit rider.

“Our Haven Life team is committed to making it as easy and convenient as possible for people to secure life insurance coverage and protect the ones they love,” said Mitch Ocampo, Head of Haven Life. “We are honored by this recognition and will continue to redefine the life insurance buying process by providing innovative online financial solutions that help bring financial security to everyday American households.”

Buy Side from WSJ’s “Best Life Insurance Companies” selections were based on available policies, coverage amounts, medical exam requirements, insurance riders and customer satisfaction ratings. The editors, writers and contributors who made the selections looked for companies and agencies (like Haven Life) that offered online quotes and applications rather than in-person applications with an insurance agent. More than 20 leading companies were evaluated using the companies listed in the 2022 J.D. Power Individual Life Insurance Study.

All in all, not too shabby.

Money: Best for Term Life Insurance

Another esteemed financial publication, another piece of high praise. The full write-up supports Money’s selection of Haven Life as “best for term life insurance,” and again, Haven Simple earned a starring role in the review:

“If you’re looking for a simple term life policy — the most affordable type of life insurance — Haven Life could be a helpful option to financially protect your loved ones in the event of your death. You can apply and purchase insurance online, without having to meet with an insurance agent. And, some Haven Life policies are simplified issues, so you don’t have to get a medical exam, making Haven Life our pick for best term life insurance.”
