Global data analytics provider Verisk has made key changes to the leadership roster of its claims solutions group, promoting Carrie Barr to president of casualty solutions and Aaron Brunko to president of property estimating solutions.

Barr has been with Verisk since 2010, where she began as an account executive and quickly advanced to leadership positions within sales and operations. As president of casualty solutions, she will focus on driving greater efficiencies for clients through workflow automation, programmatic compliance, and decision-support solutions.

Brunko, meanwhile, joined Verisk in 2001 as a tech support agent. Most recently serving as senior vice president of claims on the property estimating solutions team, his new role will see him responsible for driving innovation for the property estimating and restoration sectors, as well as expanding and deepening ecosystem partnerships.

Maroun Mourad, president of Verisk Claims Solutions, expressed his confidence in both Barr and Brunko and their ability to further enhance the support Verisk offers to clients.

“Carrie’s deep client relationships and understanding of insurers’ needs will enable us to help carriers better manage complex casualty claims,” Mourad said. “Likewise, Aaron is focused on innovation and growing our open ecosystem to help property adjusters, restoration contractors and insurers streamline their work through our intelligent data and software solutions.”

He also emphasised the importance of having dynamic leaders to Verisk’s strategic pillars, which are “providing innovative solutions to its clients, enabling the best experience and career path for its colleagues, and delivering exceptional value to its shareholders.”

“We have a deep and talented bench of executives at Verisk, and Maroun was selected from a strong group of diverse internal candidates,” said Verisk president & CEO Mark Anquillare of Mourad’s appointment. “Maroun’s entrepreneurial spirit and customer-centricity will undoubtedly prove valuable in revolutionising the claims function in support of our customers and for the benefit of the industry.”
