Surer launches website builder for intermediaries
Singapore insurtech Surer has launched a website builder for its insurance intermediaries. Called the Personal Website Builder, this new program is hailed by co-founder Derren Teo (pictured middle row, second from right) as the “first step in further helping intermediaries in their digital marketing efforts.” The website builder is now available to all licensed insurance intermediaries in Singapore with a Surer account.
The website builder allows intermediaries to showcase their professional profile, achievements, and the insurance products they distribute in a matter of minutes. The intermediaries’ clients can also access these personal websites to create insurance proposals or make purchases directly.
Surer said in a press release that the results of a user-base survey were the creation point for the Personal Website Builder. The survey found that over 25% of insurance intermediaries chose getting leads via digital marketing as their top pain point.
So painless, even the “less tech-savvy” can use it
Teo said that the website builder can be compared to a “Shopify” for insurance intermediaries where they can create and launch a digital shopfront for the insurance products that they distribute.
“The feature is designed such that even the less tech-savvy intermediaries can build and launch their own website. While this in itself does not generate leads, we believe it is the first step in further helping intermediaries in their digital marketing efforts,” Teo said.
The opportunities that the website builder provides also extend to Surer’s insurer partners, which include the likes of FWD, Markel, Zurich, and Chubb.
“Each intermediary will have the ability to showcase the products of these insurers on their website, essentially driving greater reach and visibility in terms of product distribution,” Teo said.
The insurtech recently partnered with Zurich to digitalise its marine cargo product offering, with the partnership also continuing for Surer’s other lines of business.
