Insurance Business reveals Hot List for 2023

Insurers continued to make positive steps on digital transformation journeys but hiked up premiums to deal with a flood induced claims deluge. There were also supply chain issues cause by the Ukraine conflict and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the back of this, many brokers are embracing the increasingly important role of risk management as part of their job description. Underwriters have kept up that ability to jump into the breach left by insurers and offer capacity for specialist sectors.

It’s an exciting time to be in the insurance industry!

Hot! Hot! Hot!

The new Insurance Business Hot List for 2023 celebrates rising stars, innovative thinkers and seasoned veterans who are tackling these challenges and converting them into opportunities.

The formulation of this list started in the middle of last year. Insurance Business Australia invited insurance professionals from across the country to nominate their exceptional leaders. After receiving 100s of nominations, IB narrowed the list down to the movers and shakers whose contributions have helped shape the industry over the last year.

From leaders transforming the way insurance firms do business, to innovators at the forefront of the industry’s tech frontier, this year’s Hot List is the best the industry has to offer.

Among the 49 insurance professionals in the spotlight this year are: Shaun Standfield – Insurance Advisernet, Megan Duckworth – Mitti Insurance, Pete Nicholson – Gallagher Bassett Australia, William Lewis – Liberty Global Transaction Solutions, Dominic Brannigan – Arch Insurance International, Stefan Feldmann – HDI Global, Gillian Davidson – Sparke Helmore, and Kimberley Jonsson – CHU Underwriting Agencies.
