Liquor and Gaming Authority investigates cyber security incident

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority says it’s investigating a cyber security incident that impacted the organization’s computer systems.

The organization says it has brought in independent cyber security experts to help address the matter and assess the impact to its operations.

SLGA says certain computer systems and applications have been temporarily disabled as it investigates the incident, which occurred on Christmas, adding it will bring these systems back online once its advisors have addressed the issue.

It says at this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the security of any customer, employee or other personal data has been misused.

The organization is asking its employees, customers and partners for their patience as it seeks to remediate the situation.
