Collectively connecting and celebrating with our clients

The life insurance industry recently reconnected at the Association of Home Office Underwriters (AHOU) annual conference in Denver. After 2 years of virtual meetings, it was a greatly anticipated reunion professionally and personally for many.

“As we were able to collectively connect again with clients and partners, I saw optimism and interest in how ExamOne and the industry are adapting to the changing market. It was also encouraging to see the faith our clients put in us. Our strong relationships have helped us both be successful over the past 50 years. I came away excited and convinced that our customers are enthusiastic about what we are bringing to the table.” — Subu Ramachandran, ExamOne President

Innovations and knowledge shared

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate with a broader audience ExamOne’s 50th anniversary. Innovations and milestones through the years were spotlighted including these recent solutions brought to the market:

The knowledge that is shared and gained when so many players in the industry come together is invaluable. In addition to panels, like “Emerging Underwriting Tools” that ExamOne’s Strategic Account Executive Beth Thrasher moderated with Data Specialist Marnie Vieselmeyer, there were educational sessions and networking events throughout the conference.

“Many of the panels and sessions allowed attendees to get multiple perspectives and insight on how they can successfully utilize tools and technology into their workflows. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about our clients and how we can support them now and be better partners in the future.  – Beth Thrasher, ExamOne Strategic Account Executive and 2022 AHOU program committee member

New and established connections

The conference was a reunion for many; however, it was exciting to see new faces who are bringing energy to the industry.

“My favorite thing about the conference was seeing clients, friends, and partners face to face. It’s important that our clients know how committed we are to them. You may be a long-standing client, brand new, or not even doing business with us yet, but we bring the same expertise and dedication to each customer experience. And of course, a handshake (or hug) at the end of a business conversation is priceless in solidifying relationships.” – Betsy Sears, Senior Vice President Laboratory Operations

“I expected my very first AHOU to be all business. There were some long days, but it was extremely rewarding and enjoyable. Meeting people in the industry, being able to curate what sessions I found most beneficial to attend, and the emphasis on collaboration among my ExamOne peers and industry partners made my first AHOU such a memorable experience. I learned so much and I made some friends that I know will be lifelong.” – Heather Haslam, Senior Underwriter and 2023 AHOU program committee member
