Price Forbes Singapore, part of major independent specialty broker Ardonagh Specialty, has named Cassaundra Tan as its new director of employee benefits, effective from September 2024.

In her role, Tan (pictured) will oversee the growth and strategic direction of the employee benefits division, focusing on Singapore as well as international markets.

Before joining Price Forbes, Tan served as regional head of employee benefits at Honan Insurance Group, where she managed a portfolio of both local and international employee benefits programs.

Commenting on her new position, Tan said the chance to shape a dynamic team and create innovative solutions aligned perfectly with her passion.

“I’m particularly excited about this opportunity to build and grow the employee benefits division from the ground up,” she said. “I look forward to working closely with our clients to deliver tailored programs that truly make a difference.”

Tan will report directly to Phil Johnson, CEO of Price Forbes Asia Pacific (APAC).

Johnson has welcomed Tan to the team, noting that the latest appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its position as a leading specialty broker in Singapore and the wider region.

“Cassaundra’s appointment reflects our commitment to becoming the pre-eminent specialty broker in Singapore and the region,” he said.

He added that Tan’s deep expertise in employee benefits and her focus on innovation will be critical in driving the company’s expansion in a market it deems important.

“Her expertise in employee benefits, combined with her passion for growth and innovation, will be key to expanding our footprint in this critical market. This is great news for our clients, and I’m delighted to welcome her to the team,” Johnson said.

Price Forbes Australia and New Zealand

Tan’s appointment follows the expansion of Price Forbes’ leadership team, naming Thomas Russell as director, head of Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) wholesale.

Russell, who brings over 12 years of experience managing complex risks in Australia and New Zealand, previously led Honan Insurance Group’s wholesale and reinsurance division, Green Bird Reinsurance. His career also includes roles at Marsh and Honan in Sydney, with a focus on property, casualty, and financial lines.

These leadership appointments are part of Price Forbes’ broader strategy to expand its capabilities and leadership presence across the Asia-Pacific region.
