Teaming up to do the best for our community

Patons are thrilled to announce its partnership with Argyle Satellite Taxis – another business proud to support its community.

Patons treats every client as individuals, each with specific needs and circumstances. Whether it is a self-employed driver or a firm with a fleet of vehicles, we make sure that they have the right taxi insurance to protect them and their business.

And as we continue to adjust to these difficult times, it is great that Argyll is passing its £50 referral fee to each driver who takes out a policy with us. Once the policy has been in place 45 days, the driver will not only receive the cheque, they can also take advantage of our recommended friend scheme themselves and earn £50 for each friend that they recommend to us successfully.

The partnership with Argyle also enables us to provide their drivers with new electric vehicles at a discounted rate for the taxi trade. This not only helps them save money on their new taxi, switching to an electric vehicle helps them keep down future costs.

Becoming partners with Argyle was an obvious fit. For years, Argyle has been providing excellent service to Wirral, Ellesmere Port and Neston, with a fleet of private hire taxis and black cabs ready to take passengers everywhere from the shops to a night out, or to the airport for a much-needed getaway.

Not only does Argyle Satellite offer a friendly and reliable service, it is at the heart of the community it serves, supporting Tranmere Rovers through thick and thin as it enjoys the highs and endures the lows of being Wirral’s only professional football team.

Argyle Satellite has also been vital in supporting Wirral Foodbank and those who depend on it, especially throughout the pandemic.

As people struggled to put food on the table during lockdowns and the devastation caused by Covid, foodbank volunteers had been paying for transport for those who depended on the service and would have been unable to collect food parcels.

Argyle stepped in and the foodbank can book free transport for any service user who could not otherwise get home with food to feed their family.

It also sponsors grassroots sports teams and provides free journeys to veterans on Remembrance Sunday.

The firm also does its best to support local businesses and organisations for all its needs, such as IT, workwear, printing or facilities management, and its up-to-date technology helps passengers’ book by phone, online or through the app. By choosing local businesses, Argyle is helping support the local economy which also helps create a stronger community.

Argyle Satellite provides a variety of employment opportunities both at its head office and call centre, as well as on the road. Each Argyle driver is a self-employed business and lives in the community they serve, continuing strong local connections that are so important.

In this way, Argyle has created the ethos that every booking a customer makes supports a local business – directly and indirectly.

It is also part of Wirral Spend Independent and uses its social media platforms to promote and raise awareness of independent businesses in our area.

It is this close-knit community that is also so important to Paton, which has been supporting the UK taxi driver community since 1957.
