Risk management society RIMS has entered into a multi-year partnership with global brokerage network Brokerslink to promote the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) certification. Accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the ISO/IEC 17024 standard, it is the only risk management certification to hold an accredited status.

Under the tie-up, Brokerslink will offer both private and public RIMS-CRMP Exam Prep Workshops to its extensive network of more than 45,000 professionals across 133 countries. RIMS will provide the necessary resources, including course materials, instructors, and exams, to help participants achieve the RIMS-CRMP certification.

The first of the workshops will take place in person on November 12 and 13 in Abu Dhabi as part of Brokerslink’s annual conference.

Throughout the partnership, Brokerslink will also be recognized as an accredited provider of continuing education credits for the RIMS-CRMP, in line with the standards set by the RIMS-CRMP Commission.

Gary LaBranche (pictured), RIMS chief executive, noted: “With an increasing number of businesses exploring opportunities in international markets, establishing a global standard for risk management and a baseline for professional excellence in the field is critical.

“Successful risk management is predicated on all parties having a shared foundation of knowledge and expertise. RIMS is proud to work with Brokerslink to set that standard and provide Brokerslink’s vast network with the support to elevate risk management worldwide.”

Meanwhile, José Manuel Fonseca, president and CEO of Brokerslink, had this to say about the collaboration: “We’re honored to be collaborating with RIMS, and to be able to offer a selection of their RIMS-CRMP training courses to our network partners and affiliates.

“Brokerslink is committed to the continuing education and development of its partners and affiliates and their risk manager clients. A shared educational background will only strengthen relationships between insurers, brokers, and corporate risk managers, empowering each group to develop more dynamic and effective programs.”
