Rothbury has announced the winners of its 2024 Annual Awards, held on August 14 during the company’s 12th Commercial Conference.

The awards event, a key feature of Rothbury’s annual calendar, celebrates the achievements of individuals and teams across the organisation in areas such as claims handling, domestic broking, and commercial broking services.

Claims Adviser Service Excellence Award


Winner: Trudi Vossen, Hawke’s Bay
Second Place: Josie Brotherton, Southern Lakes
Third Place: Maree Murphy, Hawke’s Bay

Commercial Broker Support Service Excellence Award


Winner: Melissa Benge, Hawke’s Bay
Second Place: Adrienne Blows, Auckland
Third Place: Paula Sewell, Hawke’s Bay

Domestic Broker of the Year Award


Winner: Alicia Sharpe, Southern Lakes
Second Place: Sheryl Sowerby, Waikato
Third Place: Debbie Naera, Northland

Emerging Broker of the Year


Winner: Ivan Hew, Asian Broking Team
Second Place: Kelvin Ho, Asian Broking Team
Third Place: Kelly Bedford, North Shore

Commercial Broker of the Year


Winner: Jing Yong, Asian Broking Team
Second Place: Amanda Cook, Hawke’s Bay
Third Place: Jono Crawford, Auckland

Broking Branch of the Year


Winner: Asian Broking Team, led by Vincent Hsu
Second Place: Hawke’s Bay Branch, led by Kim Matthews
Third Place: Southern Lakes Branch, led by Jason Bodmin

“These awards are an important part of who we are as a company and highlight our commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering a unique and outstanding client experience,” the company said in a statement.

Rothbury digital transformation lead to join expo

In other news, Rothbury digital transformation lead Igor Shadoff, who joined the company in 2023, will bring his insights on digital transformation to the discussion at the New Zealand Underwriting Agencies Council’s (NZUAC) 2024 Auckland Expo.

Shadoff’s role at Rothbury focuses on supporting the general manager of digital transformation in defining and executing the company’s digital strategy, guiding the organisation toward technological advancement.
