AXA UK joins iCAN to drive diversity and inclusion in the insurance sector

AXA UK has announced it is sponsoring iCAN, an independent, volunteer-run network that supports multicultural inclusion across the insurance sector

By collaborating with iCAN, AXA UK further reinforces its commitment to promoting cultural awareness and inclusivity within the company and the wider industry

AXA UK announced it has become a sponsor of the Insurance Cultural Awareness Network (iCAN), the industry-wide network dedicated to supporting ethnic inclusion and belonging across the sector.

The sponsorship will support a wide range of iCAN’s ongoing and newly launched initiatives for 2024. The initiatives include the INspire self-service mentoring platform, iCANConnect, a safe space for D&I leaders across the insurance industry, and the iCAN Apply Jobs Board which connects diverse talent to insurance roles.

In addition to these three main initiatives, the sponsorship will aid the continuation of iCAN’s Coffee with the CEO series and a range of virtual and in-person events for the 8,500+ members based in the UK and internationally.

By sponsoring iCAN, AXA UK aims to further its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, where colleagues of all backgrounds feel valued and empowered to succeed. This collaboration underscores AXA UK’s dedication to promoting inclusion and belonging as integral values within the company and the wider sector.

In line with this commitment, AXA UK’s employee network, AXA REACH (Reach, Ethnicity and Culture Heritage), champions the belief that every colleague should have equal access to opportunities to reach their potential at work. AXA REACH aims to raise awareness about the value of ethnicity in the workplace and the importance of a diverse workforce. The partnership with iCAN further solidifies AXA UK’s dedication to these principles.

Our new partnership with iCAN further strengthens our commitment and means we can work together to promote multicultural inclusion and progression as well as celebrate the benefits of diversity in the insurance sector.
