These are BrokerLink’s latest acquisitions

Acquisition momentum continues for BrokerLink, which announced this week it has closed deals on William C. Aitken Insurance Ltd., and Louis Meier Insurance Brokers Ltd. Deals closed on June 1, 2024 and July 1, 2024 respectively. Both brokerages are in the greater Toronto area.

That brings BrokerLink’s acquisitions total to 10 so far this year.

Toronto-based William C. Aitken Insurance opened in 1946 and provides home, auto and various specialty commercial insurance coverages, including non-standard commercial property, marine liabilities and aircraft. Its team members continue to serve the company’s customers post acquisition.

“Finding the right insurance coverage to protect our customers from financial risk has always been our top priority,” says Tom Watson, president of William C. Aitken Insurance. “We’ll continue going above and beyond for our customers and community members.”

Concord, Ont.-based Louis Meier Insurance opened in 1963. It offers personal home and auto coverage, as well as commercial property and auto insurance, coverage for recreational operations and life and pet insurance, according to its website.

“We plan to continue building relationships in the greater Toronto area, so we’re excited to welcome our new team members and customers from William C. Aitken Insurance and Louis Meier Insurance,” says Danny Da Costa, BrokerLink’s newly appointed vice president of Ontario and digital distribution.

“We admire these brokerages’ dedication to exceptional customer service and their passion for supporting their communities fits well with our values.”

These latest acquisitions are the latest in a string of 2024 buyouts that include The Standard, MKMK Group, Direct-Line Insurance, Hanbidge and Bowman, Powell Insurance Brokers, Bastow Insurance, Law Insurance Brokers, and the personal and small to medium enterprise commercial insurance book of business from Halpenny Insurance Brokers.
