You Should At Least Bid On This Special McLaren Senna Wrecked By A YouTuber

Showboating in a car when you don’t know what you’re doing is dumb. Trying to show off in a six-figure hypercar and wrecking because of it is even worse. That’s what happened when one YouTuber tried to be cool and ended up wrecking his recently acquired, one-of-one McLaren Senna. Now that wrecked Senna is sitting at a Los Angeles auto auction awaiting a sale.

It all started around April 29th, when an Instagram story began circulating across other social media platforms — especially thanks to a Reddit post that has since removed the video — showing a McLaren Senna showboating on Ventura Boulevard in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley. In the video, the Senna stops in the road, does a donut into the center turning lanes, and then proceeds to burnout down the street while accelerating and upshifting.

McLaren Senna Crashes 💥- Edmond Mondi

The driver doesn’t seem to know just what the hell he’s doing, as he loses control, hits the brakes and crashes the Senna right into the side of a Lexus dealership. According to comments on the Reddit post, the driver of the Senna was none other than YouTuber Mondi, who’s real name is Edmond Barseghian.

Mondi appears to have just purchased the car, even detailing his purchase days before the crash. The Senna is described as a 1/1 Kiwi Edition model, a special commission by the original owner featuring wonderful green paint, brown leather, cartoon Kiwi graphics and unique carbon-fiber wheels. In an “apology” post following the crash going viral, he mentioned having just given the car a bunch of modifications including slick tires — not smart for a road car.

The crash was apparently on brand for Mondi as well, with many comments saying he shouldn’t be allowed to drive given he’s wrecked “his 992 GT3, and a brand new hummer EV all in the last year. He also crashed a different GT3RS on track trying to slide it.” He has since gone private on Instagram, but his account was filled with videos of him driving extremely dangerously on busy city streets. Videos included him destroying an F40’s transmission while speeding down a street and drifting the car around traffic, and another showed him launch-control accelerating

Insurance Auto Auctions in North Hollywood currently has the wrecked Senna and will soon put it up for sale, according to the listing on the site. The post also allows us to take a much better look at the extent of crash damage — and it’s bad. The whole front of the Senna is essentially gone, right down to the bent frame, and the airbags deployed. But none of this should stop a buyer when this thing goes on sale. The rest of the car is mostly intact after all, and it’ll likely go to someone who will rebuild it. It’ll definitely take a lot of time and deep pockets before this thing is roadworthy again, but it would be worth it to get this car back on the road.
