Acera Benefits, the benefits division of Acera Insurance, is getting a boost in Ontario with the addition of Dominion Group Benefits in Hamilton.

Tony Fairfield (pictured), president of group benefits at Acera Insurance, announced the new collaboration, saying, “We are pleased to welcome Dominion Group Benefits to our organization as we continually expand the reach of Acera Benefits.

“Ken Zeise (Dominion Group Benefits founding principal) and his colleagues have provided exceptional group benefits solutions for over 30 years. By combining our collective strengths and stability, we will provide a broader suite of benefits and retirement savings options to businesses of all sizes around the Hamilton and London regions.”

Commenting on joining Acera Benefits, Zeise said, “I have operated as an independent advisory firm since 1991. Ensuring we continue to serve our clients with the utmost integrity was a key factor when choosing a partner to grow with.

“I am pleased to know partnering with Acera Insurance will allow us to increase scale while ensuring our clients continue to receive personalized, unbiased solutions and guidance from our local team.”

The partnership, which will see Dominion Group Benefits fully transition to Acera Benefits in the coming months, is the third such partnership forged by Acera Insurance in Ontario this year. In March, Acera announced a partnership deal with Burlington-based Green Benefits Group.
